LHS A+ Program

A+ will put you on the right path for your future!

LHS is proud of being an A+ school -- one of the first A+ schools in Missouri. We are also proud of our A+ students and you too can become one. The process is easy: just fill out a participation agreement. You can pick one up from Mrs. Pulverenti or Mrs. Wrisinger in the Career Center or download a participation agreement here! Seniors can enroll in A+ up to the beginning of the second semester, but we strongly encourage students to begin the process much earlier.

For more information about A+, click the PDF files below.

Senior A+ students should pay very close attention to their A+ status and stay knowledgeable about tutoring and service opportunities.  Both will be posted on this website, the school announcements, and the A+ bulletin board at LHS.

Looking for information about various careers in a constantly evolving job market?  Take a look at the 2009-10 Missouri Career Guide, produced by the Missouri Center for Career Education.  More information for both those seeking jobs and those wanting career information can be found at Missouri Connections

Scholarships

Many four-year colleges and universities in Missouri offer institutional scholarships to A+ graduates. Check with the financial aids office of the school you are interested in attending.

A list of current A+ recognition scholarships from Missouri four-year colleges and universities is available by clicking here. Please be advised that LHS makes no claims or guarantees regarding these scholarships. They are posted for the information of our patrons only.

The Metropolitan Community Colleges of the Kansas City area offer a number of scholarships that students can receive in addition to A+ benefits. Click here to download the MCC scholarship booklet in PDF format. Or, check them out at the MCC Scholarships website.

A+ students

  • Have higher GPAs;
